LDF VS LIPHAKOE-ESSENTIAL INFORMATION

January 11, 2020

Liphakoe Football Club return to Premiere League action on Sunday, as the maroon and gold  visit Ratjomose based site LDF FC at Ratjomose Football ground.

It is our first fixture of the new decade, and Liphakoe  will be eager to win the first game against the Defence Force club.

COACH RESIGNATION

Another victory would welcome. The maroon and gold ended the festive season well clear of the chasing pack but have sometimes come unstuck  against struggling sides. The maroon and gold finished 2019 with a win and a draw against Lifofane and LCS respectively, staying in the 10th position of the log standings.

The mighty hawks come back prepared despite loosing a coach Mr Thabo Tsutsulupa who surprised a club by resigning with a week left before second round commence. The club is currently under his assistants Jankie Tsoeu,Tsebang Lebata, Kabelo Tshukulu and goalkeeper coach Teboho Maphalo. Teboho Majoro is also available in the physical and conditioning.

KEYS STATS

Liphakoe and LDF met 8 times and LDF won 3 times and they both played 5 draws.

Liphakoe remained in the relegation zone for the entire first round until a single win that lifted maroon and gold up the ladder to the 10th position. This season has been the worst draught ever for the mighty hawks struggling with victories and only winning a single game against Lifofane in the festive season collecting only 10 points in 12 games.

So there is plenty of room for progress in the second half of the campaign, especially with the return of goal poachers Relebohile Moloinyane who was on studies and Tsepang Makapa who was on a long ankle injury.

The Maroon are creating plenty of good scoring opportunities in every game but players are not sealing the deal on them. At the other end, errors are allowing visitors to extract maximum benefit from minimal opportunities.

PLAYERS RETURNS

Liphakoe is boosted with the return of Relebohile Moloinyane from his studies availability of Tsepang Makapa and Keketso Seala who were both on long injuries. Both Makapa and Moloinyane were major goal poachers for Liphakoe in the past seasons.

Liphakoe is also looking forward to add new faces on this January transfer window.
